An historic home built in the 1920s in the countryside of Madrid that had not been touched since 1970s. Most of its original charm had been stripped away - vinyl flooring, low ceilings. My goal was to bring it back to its original beauty, respecting the design of the ‘20s while keeping it inviting through the use of natural materials and simplicity.
From the design carpentry (most specifically the interior doors) as well as the kitchen cabinetry, everything was meticulously sketched and detailed. I worked with local craftsmen who had experience in classic spaces to execute only the best quality elements to restore the space to what it once was.
I project managed the construction, coordinating the different tradesmen to complete the project. This requires knowledge of the process as well as being able to negotiate and manage project budgets.
