In the realm of editorial content, one of its main tasks is to feature novel and captivating products that share a unique narrative. Frequently, market or trend sections consist of a compilation of lifeless, two-dimensional product images that revolve around a specific theme or trend. However, I sought to diverge from this approach by experimenting with a more three-dimensional representation of products, all encompassed within a single photograph. I conducted this experimentation in two distinct fashions: one was an upright, stylised representation, exemplified by the images featuring the Angleploise task lamp; the other was a flat presentation, exemplified by the images showcasing the serving spoons. Remarkably, both methods demonstrated their ability to greatly enhance the customer experience by offering a more detailed perspective of the products. This allowed for direct comparisons of texture, size, and tonalities, further aiding the consumer in their decision-making process.
