This project was about creating a calming sanctuary within a 16th-century apartment-turned loft in one of Madrid’s most emblematic historic neighbourhoods. Its prominent windows and 6-meter high beamed ceilings gave it a special architectural charm. To complement this traditional foundation, I selected clean-lined modernist pieces, including vintage Bernt Petersen armchairs from the 1970s, an original DCW Lampe Gras wall light, a low profile marble coffee table by the Belgian brand Serax, and finally a modern take on a bell pendant light over the dining table that felt within the context of the high ceilings.
