This vignette was created for the furniture fair AmericasMart in Atlanta, Georgia. I was asked to design a blank space to be displayed with the theme “Earthed”. My interpretation of this theme relates to how the contemporary home owner wants a space that feels connected to nature and bringing in items that have earthy elements to them.
Borrowing from Scandinavian and Japanese design, two interior design cultures that have long standing “earth” related aesthetics, I used clean and modern pieces with natural materials. The hanging panels, for example were designed to hide the boxiness of the space and create depth.
This vignette was on display in July, 2017. You can read more about it here.
